The EU Green Week is the key event in the EU environment policy calendar. This is an opportunity to debate European environmental policies and attract stakeholders from across Europe. This year’s edition focuses on the European Green Deal, the EU’s strategy to achieve a resource-efficient and climate-neutral Europe by 2050. In this context, MANDALA has organized the EU Green Week Partner Event – Economía circular en el sector del plástico y el envase. This event took place online on June 2nd in the local language (Spanish).
The opening speech was done by Pilar Llorente, project officer at CBE who showed how European funding works in the bioeconomy sector. Afterward, representatives from MANDALA presented the main outcomes of the project, showing how international collaboration helps to achieve an excellent science.
The second block was focused on the circular economy in the plastic and packaging sectors. Four representatives of leading EU-funded projects (SISTERS, INN-PAEK, ECO-CLIP, polynSPIRE, and Fish4Fish) presented their results highlighting topics such as recycling, bio-based materials, and sustainability.
